Dreambaby Cabinet Catch Installation Instructions:
You will need:
- Methylated Spirits to clean area
- A clean cloth to clean and dry area where the product will be installed.
- A lighter to heat double sided tape before applying.
Steps to install:
(Kindly read through before starting)
- Ensure your child is being supervised by an informed caregiver.
- Before sticking the product down, ensure you and your family are happy with the placement.
- Clean areas with methylated spirits, ensuring the area is completely dry before you apply the product.
- Remove film from double sided tape and use a lighter to heat the double-sided tape, this is a trick that makes it extra sticky so that it adheres properly.
- Hold down for 60 seconds to ensure the product is stuck down.
- Leave adhesive to set for at least 24 hours before operating.
- Clean up afterwards, discarding of any packaging.
- Store the methylated spirits out of reach, or in a child proofed cabinet.
- Give proper instructions on how to operate the lock to other occupants.

The latch is well made, and it is pretty difficult to open even for the adult as you have to squeeze the thing well to release. I am more concerned with sticky pads giving up, but they can be replaced. We’ll see how long they will last. The goal is to get the child to lose interest in the cabinet.
The colour limited to white only looked horrible on my all-black cabinet. The solution: I spray painted it to match the cabinet color before installing. Now you can barely notice it’s there.
