Childproofing Kitchens
- Common injuries in the kitchen include poisoning, falls or scalds from hot food, water or other liquids, choking on small objects and slamming little fingers in drawers and cabinets.
- To avoid injuries, try to keep children out of the kitchen when you are cooking.
- Some parents may choose to use a playpen at this busy time or a safety gate.
Add a Childproof Lock or Baby Safety Gate to Scullery or Pantry Doors.
The easiest way to prevent access to the scullery or pantry when these areas have doors is to install a door lever lock. If you do not want to keep these areas fully closed install Door Hinge Protectors & Foam door stoppers to prevent slamming little fingers.
***Alternatively, using Baby Gates is also an option
